Electrical Distribution and Wiring at DTVE UNN, FSTC Uyo, and FSTC Ohanso
Project Overview:
Under the Skills Training and Vocational Education Project (ADB Funded), TISL was responsible for the electrical distribution and wiring of workshops at DTVE UNN, FSTC Uyo, and FSTC Ohanso. This project was critical in ensuring that these educational institutions had the electrical infrastructure needed to support their vocational training programs. The project was completed in 2021.
Strategy and Approach:
The strategy was to design and implement electrical systems that were both safe and efficient, meeting the specific needs of vocational training workshops. TISL’s approach was to ensure that the systems could handle the electrical loads required by various training equipment, while also adhering to stringent safety standards.
Design and Implementation:
TISL designed an electrical distribution system that ensured reliable power supply to all equipment in the workshops. The wiring was carefully planned and executed to avoid any potential hazards, ensuring the safety of both students and staff. The implementation phase involved detailed checks and tests to confirm that the systems were fully operational and met all regulatory requirements.
Client Collaboration:
TISL worked in close collaboration with the ADB-funded project team to ensure that the electrical systems were tailored to the specific needs of each workshop. This collaboration was key to the successful completion of the project, as it allowed us to address any issues that arose promptly and effectively.
Environmental Impact:
TISL ensured that the electrical systems were energy-efficient, reducing the overall power consumption of the workshops. This not only lowered operational costs but also contributed to the environmental sustainability of the educational institutions.
